Pluey wins WSA Event # 5

WSA Event # 5 went off in Oceanside Harbor in 3-5 ft fun clean surf Dec  2-3 .I woke up to sunshine and headed to my local spot the good old harbor and when i go there was amazed at how fun the surf looked peeling lefts and some rights 3-5 ft and  sheet glass .I was amping for my 1st heat .I paddled out and in the 1st 5 mins scored a 9.3 on my 1st  wave and backed it up with a solid 8 i was so pumped .The rest of the contest  I was  so tuned  in and wanting to win  espically being at my home break and friends all around. The waves continued to be clean and rippable the whole event.Finals rolled around and i was so confident that nothing was going to stop me waves were a little inconsistet but i waited in both my finals for the best scoreing waves. In the end not only did i Win both the finals but i also won highest wave score. And a good points lead.
I just wanted to say thanks to all my sponsors and the WSA for the support.
Next event will be Jan 8th San Clemente pier and i am amping.I also have 3 out of 5 wins so far and im looking at winning another Title so keep ur fingers crossed.

Plueys life

Hey everyone hope all is well,Haven't been on here in a bit so figured i needed to jump on epically since its raining .I'm sitting here listing to my Ipod a little ,Counting Crows,New Edition,Snoop,Enya,MJackson and a shit load of others helps me to sit and write.Lets see not to much has  been going on 1st off want to say what happened to AI is just sad and a tragedy one of are greatest surfers big heart and an amazing surfer.May he RIP
I have been doing a lot of thinking about diff rent things surfing ,life and family. On 1 side I'm so stoked to be doing what I'm doing surfing wise but the down fall is u don't make to much right now epically with the economy .Some people say quit and go corporate i say F YOU to that,I have seen to many people over the yrs just quit and throw in the towel when things got tough and or lost a sponsor or sponsors but not me I'm a fighter even when i feel like i have nothing left or get a little burnt out.Surfing is my passion and life even if i ended up living in my car .I love it that much .I would 1st make sure Steph and Isabella were taken care of Steph is a solid person work wise though .She keeps us a float when surfing money gets slow.
There aren't many surf series anymore which is sad and sucks .I do what ever ones i can  just to stay on top of my competitiveness.Haven't done many WQS this yr almost seems like a waste to some degree but i plan on getting back on it in 2011.I ave been doing the WSA ,surfwsa.org and some people say oh that's gay or lame its not a pro event and yea Ur right there not but they are run better then most of the events i have done in the past .Great people good judging i get to see my friends that i have competed with on other series. So to all those people who think there lame that's on u.To me a comp is a comp the level of surfing might not always be the highest but it allows me to stay competitive and work on different strategies for he pro events and I'm having fun with out all the pressure.I give major props to the WSA I think there a better organization and run better than the NSSA .Dont be fooled by the NSSA.Yea they say its a stepping stone it may or may not be if Ur a good surfer that's all that matters.I feel there to political and show favoritism which isn't right. Some may agree and others will disagree .Its my op ion.

Times are rough for everyone right now and it sucks but if everyone keeps there heads up it will all work out.

I have also been enjoying my family life .Its crazy how fast kids grow.I can remember when Isabella was 1st born and how nervous i was but super excited and now she is 5 in school  loving it  .She is so smart very outgoing and i just love her to death.I'm getting curious to see if she takes up surfing and loves it as much as i do ?Or will she choose something completely different and f she does she has my support a 100%.
She is my world and I'm so thankful for her everyday.I love u kiddo.
Steph has been working so hard and I know sometimes she thinks i don't appreciate her but i do.I remember when I 1st met her almost 6 yrs ago she was working at TGI Fridays in Carlsbad ,I asked her for her # and she said only if u can give me a cheesy pickup line i said OK, I asked her if she was from TENNESSEE? She said no why ? I said because Ur the only 10 i see and it worked .We ave been toghter ever since through the worst of times to the best.It has been a lot of work but its been good.I do love her shes a great mom and Lady yee ha.

And me I'm just a surfer who loves to be a smart ass .

I also want to say thanks to my sponsors ,friends,Family and fans u all rock and keep me level headed and on my toes.

Hope everyone has a great weekend, Talk to everyone soon.

FOR RENT / WSA

Hey everyone hope all is well not to much new going on I just recently lost a sponsor due to this dreadfull economy cuts had to be made somewhere. So now i have a nice big spot on the nose of my boards with a FOR RENT spot available .So if ur intrested please feel free to contact me @ paulpugliesi@yahoo.com Looking  for a  good company who really supports there riders and just wants a good guy who goes above and beyond what sponsors ask for.I m not a guy asking for a crazy amount of money you will be probably shocked if u knew what i was looking for .
Also Did well in the 1st WSA Gatorade Championship tour Took the Win. Yea some will say its only a WSA an ur right but to me any comp i can do weather its a pro or not is a way to sharpen ur skills and work on new stratageis with out always having to worry about the stress of he Big PRO COMPS.I can do these little ones to really prepare myself espically since there isnt a lot of pro comps right now since this economy is so bad.Plus i just love to compete
