the drive to see Isabella

left oceanside yesterday at about 1pm since we had to wait for Stephs brother Stevie to get off work .We finally got on the road but had a few stops.1st we had to go by Koastal to pick up a skate board for me for christmas yippie.2nd we met up with a friend Brian  to drop off a christmas gift and now were really leaving as we get passed HB we all of a sudden hit  what was to be the first of a 5 hr traffic marathon non stop bumper to bumper on are way to see are daughter Isabella for christmas.About 7pm we get over the grapevine but still had another 4 hr drive.We get to Modesto to drop off Steve about 11pm and still had another hr to go.12:30 we finally arrive and its fucking cold but we made it safe and sound.
Now were going to spend Christmas with Isabella yippe.

94.9 Hootenanny Concert VIP Passes

What’s up everyone!! Hope all is well. Last week (Saturday) it was still stormy, I hadn’t surfed, Steph and me were bored out of are minds and we were trying to figure out what to do for the night. All of a sudden my phone rings and it’s Greg from Synergy Surf Co, he told me he had 4 VIP tickets to the 94.9 Holiday Hootenanny at UCSD and wasn’t able to make it, he asked me if I wanted them… I said “Hell yea!!” We rushed home to get ready, took a while cause of Steph J. Then we headed down. It was raining so hard and we got a little confused once we entered the campus, no signs right away to tell u how to get to the arena, but we finally got there safe at about 6pm. Parking wasn’t to bad. We headed to the front of the line and just walked right in to the VIP area where we entered a private elevator to the to the top floor. Doors opened and it was insane. There were 4 rooms .1 had a buffet set up with great food and drinks. 2nd room was a lounge with white comfy benches, flat screen TVs to watch the concert on, a Wii to play, more free alcohol, and desserts. The other 2 rooms were a balcony to watch the concert and another sitting area. We hung out up stairs for a while to enjoy all the free food and drinks, and then went down for the concert. We were escorted down to the VIP seating area right next to the stage where the bands hang out before they go on. We saw Phoenix who is so insane, probably the best band of the night! Spoon was also insane. Vampire Weekend, they were pretty lame. Manchester Orchestra was insane and White Rabbit, which we didn’t get to hear cause, we got there a little late. The whole night we just partied and had a great time. Stephanie friend from work and her boyfriend showed up to catch the last band Spoon play, they would have been there sooner but the got super lost trying to find the place J. Surf has been fun

Well it's been a few days sinceI have been on.Waves have been super fun.We had that little storm so surfing wasn't an option.Finally the storm ended and we had swell left over a little overhead and fun.Here are a few photos from that swell enjoy.Look for my next blog i will be telling about are Vip Tickets to The HooteNanny  concert till them chow.

About Last Night

Hello again, lets see ... yesterday started off with a bang! I got a call from my photo buddy, Bill. He told me to get my ass down to the Pier cause it was head high and firing. Left the house around 8am it was 37degrees outside, freaking way to cold. Drove to the pier, and like he said, it was firing. Paddled out for about 2hrs and got some insane waves (pics coming soon). Got out, headed home, and the rest of the day was pretty boring. So lets fast forward to the night time. : )

I got a call from my buddy Steve that he was doing a Pizza tasting competition at the chamber of commerce and needed some help so me and Steph showed up to help and lets just say I haven't seen so many GOODWILL suits in one place all the guys suits were so mixed matched and the women all wore the same black pants it was great. The pizza was good though. Are table was right by the door way and people would stand there and fart .I don’t know how many times I got cropped dusted. So any who they announced the winner was, which wasn’t us, it went to this other pizza place. The guy who owned it was a total kiss ass, but I guess that’s what it takes sometimes so sad.

Now onto rest of the night, one of Stephanie's friends was having her 30th birthday, talk about old haha. We arrived at Joes Crab Shack at 730 and had some food and a few drinks I was the only sissy drinking water, not a big fan of the alcohol. Finished there and moved on to good old Jolly Rogers a fine karaoke establishment or not. Everyone showed up about 1130 and started drinking and taking shots and getting crazy I was a little bit of a party pooper mainly cause they weren’t my friends and was a little out of place till one of my peeps Steve, from Santino's Pizza, showed up with his party animal wife, Amy. She fit right in with the crowd. It was fun, though the more drinks the crazier it got people were singing and dancing but the best was when they called the b-day girl and her boyfriend up on stage. They made her take a shot from his happy place! Watching everyone dance after a whole lot of shots, falling on the ground, and just having a good time. But you could tell the locals were getting a little annoyed, because are group was a lot funnier than them. The Karaoke was another story; I haven’t heard so much bad singing since American Idol. Finally 1am rolled around and we all went are separate ways.

We got home and had another little private party and...

 went to bed.

Dec 9 2009 Fundraiser at Joes for Mike Price

Last night I went to a Fundraiser at Joes Crab Shack for our friend Mike Price. He was recently told that he has terminal panceriotic cancer and has around 3 months left. Stephanie and I got my sponsors involved in a raffel that Steph does at joes every other weds, and they donated a lot of great items ,Skateboards,Sunscreen ,Clthing,Fishing Trips,Hotel Stays, T Shirts,Autographed poster from Blink 182,Sunglasses,Shoes and many other great Items.. Mike, his wife Tearessa, and his daughter Shawnee were able to make it to the event. We had a blast dancing, drinking, and eating lots of great food. We raised $1,111 for Mikes fundraiser to help his family pay the basic bills as well as all the doctor bills and meds. Mike was the sole money provider for his family, due to his wifes disbiliy, so once he's gone, his family will be hurting finacialy. So what we are doing is raising money to help him and his family now and afterward. I felt like i was doing my part to help out someone other than myself it  feels good.
The next fundraiser will be on the 23 at Joes Crab Shack Oceanside from 7pm till about 9 so if you would like to donate product or $ let me know either come out or you can send a donation you can email me as well   paulpugliesi@yahoo.com.
I just wanted to say thanks to all my sponsors who have contributed and all the people who came out.Hope to see you on the Dec 23. I will post a few pics from the event.

Finished my blog page

Well I finally finished my blog page even tough i had already posted a blog.I put the finishing touches on.I have been at pierview for 4 hrs i think thats a record.I'm happy with what i did espically since i'm not computer savy but i did it.Hope everyone will be pleased and  follow  along on this bolg journey.
Now i'm off to get some gas ,lunch make a few phone calls and relax sun is out so happy.

Well its Dec 8 2009 .
First off let me tell you a little about me.I'm from Pacifica Ca but moved to Oceanside about 8 yrs ago to be where the surf industry is I always wanted to be a pro surfer and at the time Nor/Cal wasnt't the place to be. I'l lmake this short.Did a lot of contests .Got sponsored  got married to Steph had a Daughter 4 yrs ago Isabella  and now I'm surfing for a living.Some say i'm not the average surfer because I don't ride for the main surf companys ,Quiksilver ,Billabong etc. But that wasnt me  i didn't want to be a cookie cutter.I have had a lot of diffrent sponsors  but have also had a few for a long time.I will get into that later.
Now I'm sitting at my favorite coffe shop PierView i tend to spend a lot of time there it;s  a good place to just relax and enjoy a great cup of coffe.I need to rewind a little .
I started my day off at 7am woke up to a little sun thank god not a big fan of the rain. Took Steph  to work .I arrived at 1onOneTraining at 8am just to do a little cardio and crunches.I usually train 3-4 times a week Mon,Wed and Fridays  but since the surf is bad i'm doing probably 5 days this week.I finish up about 9am.I really like it privately owned by Dave who is super nice first glance your like woa cause he's about 5'10 built like a brick and shaves his head and hes a white guy  anyway, leave there head to the post office to mail are Christmas cards and some other stuff .Now i'm at Pierview had a Chocolate milk and doing all my Computer shit .After this I'll go home have a Proto Whey mocha protein shake make a few phone calls and just relax till Steph gets off work.
